Copy Dashboards between instances

Someone might have already figured this out, or it might be baked in functionality; but I am just starting to setup Home Assistant’s for family and friends, and I can’t find an obvious way to do it.

It’d be great if I could copy an entire Dashboard between instances. I’ve spent countless hours building the dashboard for my home, and it’d be great to be able to copy this to my parent’s instance, so I don’t have to build it again from scratch.

Even if the copy wasn’t perfect, it’d still be a much-appreciated starting point.

Click the pencil icon to edit a dashboard.

Click the three dots icon that replaces the pencil icon.

Select the Raw configuration editor option from the menu.

Click somewhere in the YAML.

Press Ctrl+ a to select everything.

Press Ctrl+ c to copy it all.

Paste it into a text editor.

Do the reverse (copy from text editor, paste into Raw view) on the system where you want to copy the dashboard to.
