Copy Local Calendar Events to multiply days by selecting on monthly graph views - E.G BIN DAYS

My Refuse and Bin days are about 2 Weekly, unfortunately there not exactly so this currently means on HA I have to manually put them in manually which is 52 Calendar entries, bit time consuming.

I can see it being an option to add event and under the repeat you can see the year calendar and can just select on the days, this would make it much quicker for these type of events

I am not sure how much they differ but else you could use the schedule helper which is on a rolling basis, maybe add two and some logic which one is active this week (or not)

take me longer to write that code then having the option mentioned, also adding any newbs not going to want that as a solution?

just an idea… there is also the google calendar .
In the end, I am not sure why things need to be duplicated in HA, I have seen so many platform try to do this and then they cannot keep up or maintain it.
Not against this, just not sure if it has any value on top of google cal.

About an hour ago, I set this up for my bin collections. Luckily, it’s every 2 weeks, with a few changes around Xmas, Easter and New Year, so I used the every X weeks repeat option, then deleted and re-added only the few individual changes as required.

It would help to move these few events if dragging / dropping of events was supported. Would that help you too?

Fwiw I maintain both Google calendar and local calendar and share code between them. Is there a specific maintenance concern I can help you with?

Is there a way to sync calendar events between a local calendar and a google calendar?

If you use Google calendar (without search) it syncs down the Google calendar to home assistant. Local calendar and google calendar share a bunch of library code. The idea is to improve reliability so that all calendar queries are local instead of remote.

Is there a specific problem you want to solve that prompted your question?
