All, the Hue integration was recently improved to greatly improve response for Hue motion sensors. Previously, they were poll only, but they gained push capability or some such, I believe I remember reading.
Anyway, upgrading to 12.2 has reverted my Hue motion sensors back to basically useless because HA has to poll them regularly to find out when there is motion, rather than them notifying HA when there is motion.
Is there a reason this has reverted to the previous configuration? I know performance on the hub was supposed to be an issue but has never been an issue for me.
Thank you for the reply and thanks ahead of time to the maintainer! As I have watched the sensors (and buttons) in my Hue integration, there is definitely a pattern. HA “misses” seeing the push and it is a 50/50 chance whether the event will fire or not.
So for my buttons, I might have to press 3 times but it till eventually fire.
For my motion sensors, it detects motion, reports to HA, then shuts down a few secs, then reports again, eventually HA will figure out something is there if it stays long enough.
Will be waiting with baited breath for .3! My home relies heavily on Hue devices to know where people are and what’s going on, so no one ever has to think about lighting. Until yesterday lol.
