I tried to upgrade the core yesterday, and the update crashed midtways and after that i haven’t bin able to contact my hass. My rspi dosn’t even show up on my network. is there anyway to save my configuration or is it all lost?
Restore the backup you made before updating?
I can’t get to my backup it’s not even showing up on my network anymore
Can you access the physical storage?
What is home assistant stored on?
It’s stored on a SD card so yes
Then you can access all your configuration files. And the backup.
How exactly do I do that? I’ve tried paragons ext reader but the folders I was able to open didn’t seem to have any backup files in them
//hassos-data/supervisor/homeassistant/
Thank you. Found it.
What do I do next?
Can I make a fresh install of hassos and then copy the hassos data folder into the new install?
Option 1)
Copy the backup off the card. Install home assistant again. Restore the backup.
Ideally you would install home assistant on a new SD card so you still have all the data in case something goes wrong.
Option 2)
Copy the entire config directory, including hidden folders, off the card. Install home assistant again. Copy and paste the contents of the saved config directory to the new system. Restart.
Then install one f these to prevent this happening again: Common Tasks - Operating System - Home Assistant
