Core / Supervisor versions discrepancy

Hi everyone,

Over the past few months, I’ve noticed some strange behaviour whenever I update my Home Assistant (OS) installation.

It seems like my Core updates to the latest version immediately, but my Supervisor stays stuck on a version from the previous month.
For example, my current setup is:

  • Core: 2026.10.1
  • Supervisor: 2026.09.3

Even though version 2026.10.1 (and even 2026.10.0) for the Supervisor is already out and available on GitHub, my system tells me there are no new updates available.

Has anyone else run into this issue?
If so, is there a way to fix it?

Thanks!

Im On

  1. Core: 2026.10.2
  2. Supervisor: 2026.10.2
    And OS 18.3

Not that i have paid any attention lately, so i have no idea when supervisor became .10.0 or .10.1
Some times Supervisor lacks (don’t strictly follows Core) , And Sometimes it comes after an OS update ( The Man in the Middle )

I had the same thing. Not sure if updates were out of sync or what happened.

It seems core and supervisor updates are not in sync (maybe intentional?).

Yes i believe it is, as it’s depended upon/affected by, both OS(Container) & CORE changes, beside it’s own “enhancements”, so Supervisor is Updated In an " Ass Needed " cycle :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Have you tried update Supervisor, From the CLI ?
