Core Update 2025.1.4 stuck on "Installing"

I tried to run the Core update 2025.1.4 earlier, but it always gets stuck at “intalling”, no matter what I do.
After waiting for 2 hours I just restarted the mini-PC my HA is running on and it just showed me the update available again.
Next I cleared several minor problems in the logs concerning some sensors and entities, which I don’t think were related, but who knows.
Then I tried again, but same result: it’s in the process of “installing” stuck again.

I checked the supervisor logs next and this is what I got (don’t know if this is relevant?):

would be happy for any help! thanks!

ok update: after “installing” for a while it just restarted my HA now and the update is still shown as available, but it didn’t update.
it saw this warning in the Supervisor log:

and these 2 warnings in HA Core Log:

I am also having the same problem. I have tried a number of times and my HA gets stuck on updating. I have to reboot my machine and when it returns to says update available again.

I am running HA on a x86 machine.

The warning in the supervisor log is just that a warning. It will not stop the execution.

The warnings in the HA core log is also just warnings.
The first one is because a browser disconnected without “saying goodbye”.
The second one always come up, when the system was rebooted, because the shutdown process is doing it the hard way and just kills processes to get back up quickly.

I ca not see what the issue is here, but a new release is due in 2 days.

ok, thanks - at least I’m not the only one with this problem. Just hope that the next version works

Having the same issue with 2025.3.2. It started from 2024.12 onwards, not sure why. I think it’s something to do with the new backup system, which makes the system hang. Very frustrating, that it still hasn’t been resolved.

I’m running HAOS on a Proxmox VM, never had this issue before.

Exactly the same issue for me with 2025.3.3 on Proxmox

Same here, my version is 2025.1.4 and I’m stuck with any update, also the z-wave to mqtt integration. But the integrations from HACS are updatable.

OK got the log entry with the following error, seems the image can’t be downloaded.

Apologies

For the first time since I installed HA I am having the same problem trying to update Core 2025.4.1 to 2025.4.3

I’ve tried updating with the ‘Create manual backup before update’ toggled on and off but it still seems to hang on ‘Installing’

Hate having to reboot when it appears to be halfway through an update procedure but don’t seem to have any other choice.

Has anybody figured out the problem and managed to resolve it?

Thanks & kind regards,
