Cost data was unintentionally reset from Energy dashboard

Hi!

I recently change an entity (entity name: “Energy Consumption”) used for tracking consumed energy in “Grid Consumption” in the Energy Dashboard. After I made the change, the cost displayed next to it in the dashboard was suddenly reset to 0. Now when I try to look at energy consumption for the last month, I only see the cost that has accumulated since I change the entity (see the two images below). Note that I HAVE NOT change the entity used for tracking the costs, ONLY the entity tracking the consumption (kWh)

I am hoping there is a way to fix this so I can view historical energy consumption data together with the correct costs (I have almost a year of data and I would hate to loose it…)

To clarify. The energy consumption data (in kWh) is still there (in the energy dashboard), and the historic data for the cost tracking entity is also there.

Can you still add the old sensor as a dummy? Then make a new utility meter for the Grid Consumption sensor to get only new history.

Could be an option!

I ended up going into the Home Assistant DB and manually adding the cost data.
