I think that doing a few YouTube collaboration videos togther with the “Linus Tech Tips” YouTube channel could be a more than a good idea to help further promote the Open Home Foundation, Home Assistant and Music Assistant.
This is a very relevant question right now because of three reasons:
- Linus Tech Tip (LTT) YouTube channel has recently started a video series they call “Tech House” where they bought a house in order to both renovate and retrofit it as is done for a fictional technology entuasist.
-
Linus Sebastian of LTT fame has recently mentioning several times on his podcast “The WAN Show” in recept episodes that he currently personally experimenting a lot with Home Assistant in his own personal house, from where he also sometimes films and show his interesting techy implementations.
-
Linus Media Group also have a relativly new website called “LTT Labs” where they do more blog-style artices and long-form reviews or analysis articles of various tech products and solutions.
Would be cool to get Paulus, Frenck, Paulus, Jean-Loïc or Marcel from the Open Home Foundation to collaborate on some LTT videos to help advise how to create some awesome automations for for the “LTT Tech House” and for Linus’s own home.
Anyway, Linus Sebastian frequently collaborate or bring in experts and creators to make Linus Tech Tip videos with entertaining content to showcase many different things, so it be free publicity for OHF, HA and MA.
Linus Media Group motto is fittingly “igniting passion for technology” so I believe it could be a great idea for the Open Home Foundation to try to reach out to Linus Tech Tips about possible coolaboration on a few YouTube videos.
