We have a few NFC tags used to keep track of when something was done (like when the plants where watered). Recently in a Youtube video I saw it mentioned that an advantage when using iOS Home Assistant can actually know which user scanned the NFC tag. This gave me the idea to also track who scanned an NFC tag (perhaps to build a bit of a scoreboard for chores done by the kids).
I however for the life of me cannot figure out how. I am not that familiar with ‘native home assistant automations’ relying heavily on Node Red usually. But for NFC tags I usually go the automatons route: I create an automation with an event, give that event an ‘eventtype’ and then let shortcuts fire the eventtype in the iOS app.
Anybody more knowledgeable then me who can perhaps help me out?
This is one of my current automations that only tracks ‘when’.
