Cover group not showing commands to control group?

I have two opengarage devices setup, and a cover group. The group is visible but doesn’t seem to expose open/close commands.

cover:
    - platform: opengarage
      covers:
          garage_one:
             host: 192.168.1.61
            device_key: opendoor
            name: Subaru Garage
         garage_two:
           host: 192.168.1.62
           device_key: opendoor
           name: Jeep Garage
    - platform: group
      name: garage_doors
      entities:
        - cover.garage_one
        - cover.garage_two

Any idea what I’m doing wrong? (Sorry, my formatting got botched, had to post from mobile and edit later)

it looks like to me that the up and down arrows are the open close command buttons. that’s very similar to how mine look. the only thing you are missing is the stop button. but you may not have that if you don’t have a stop command configured.

what i’m tying to say is - it looks normal to me.

what do you think it should look like?

EDIT: wait… nevermind. i see what you are saying now.

I’ll configure a group of covers and see what I get. Did that work for you before at some point?

I just tried it and it works for me on v89.2.

have you tried refreshing lovelace or clearing the browser cache?

Yeah, I expected the group to have open/close to control both doors. I’ll have to update; I’m on 0.88.2. I was putting off upgrades because what I had so far was working and has been gaining “wife-acceptance-factor”.

According to the docs the “cover group” has been around since version 66 so I doubt updating will fix the issue by itself. I only referenced my version in case you just updated to v 90 or something and it suddenly stopped working which might indicate a bug in that version.

try clearing the browser cache.

For completeness sake, I cleared it. But it’s the same on 5 different browsers from 3 different devices.

I think next, I’ll have to remove all the covers, and then re-add them and the group slowly to see if I can see any change.

Sorry for digging up the old corpse - but did you get it to run correctly? I have the same problem - no buttons on group.

Since I dug up such an old thread at least I can update my post… Turned out the problem was between chair and the keyboard. Rewrote config and now it works - at least I can see group buttons, and close button even works!

Open button doesn’t seem to do anything (the buttons on both shutter work separately)
