Looks like someone developed a replacement main PCB for the (non-smart) Coway Mighty air purifiers with an onboard ESP32.
Anybody, by chance, given this a try? The author, unfortunately, seems to have stopped at the board design and didn’t write any ESPHome code.
Thanks for sharing - I have two of these air purifiers and am interested in making them smart.
Looks like the first obstacle is getting our hands on some of these boards. Maybe we can do a group buy on PCB Way or something. I didn’t see any store links and it looks like the author has other priorities over this project?
Second obstacle is they don’t have a firmware (yet?) maybe we can look at building one with ESPHome?
Just a few thoughts?
Yeah, the author specifically mentioned ESPHome as a likely target, but hasn’t published anything.
