Create sensor for storing max value per day and time

I have a ‘wish’ to achieve. I have a solar system, producing energy. Now i’m tracking with statistics integration the MAX power output of the day. This part it working fine, but i would like to keep track of each days the MAX value and on what time it occurred. Anybody any idea how to achieve that?
could be good enough to have a script run at sundown and fetch it , store it for the day and include a timestamp. Just seem not to find the way yet. Ideas are welcome.

For long term data like this you really should set up influxdb. Grafana can then easily track the daily maximums. Not sure about the times they occurred though.
