Create Timer (Device) fails

Hi All,

I went into the UI to try to create a Timer device to use in an automation (Settings → Devices & Services → Devices → +Add Device)

The form won’t submit, saying “required key not provided at ‘name’. Got none”

The contents of the name field, icon selection, timer values set or not set, and Restore state checked or unchecked, don’t change this result for me.

Core & Supervisor 2026.9.2, Frontend 20260826.7

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I see the same when trying to create a timer by adding a new device and selecting Timer Helper.

However, creating a timer from Settings → Devices & Services → Helpers +Create Helper works to create one.
