Would it be possible to have home assistant use information from a 3rd party solar inverters/meters to create a virtual fronius device on the local network that a wattpilot would recognise and work in PV surplus mode?
The goal is to use information from a growatt inverter and meter or shelly meter to run the wattpilot in its native PV excess mode. I have it working using solar excess in its default mode with some blueprints and automations but its clunky and annoying to override.
As far as I know the wattpilot just listens to the IP off the inverter on the network and gets the relevant PV production and export data locally.
I have no idea how to tackle this problem, could someone point me in the right direction.
