Creating new automation, trigger state doesnt show entity dropdown

When i start the GUI for a new automation, choosing trigger and state
I have no dropdown list of entities to choose from

You have selected an event trigger type. Try selecting a state or numeric state trigger type.

OK Thnx could be a way around it, but somehow it works in my DEV platform

Mysteriously it started working suddenly. Nothing done
