L20 Ultra cannot be installed to the Mi Home app therefore there is no option for you rather than the Dreamehome App but it would be the live camera streaming that you would loose if you could do it.
Ah, I misunderstood then.
Live camera feed is the one feature I don’t even really want my vacuum to have so if Mi Home worked, it would be perfect.
Shame shame…
Thank’s for the clarification
May be it will be available in Mi Home app too at the future but none of the 2023 models have been added to it yet.
Good Morning, i just got a DreameBot L10s Ultra and would like to connect it to HA
I have not set anything up yet
Which app should i use to set everything up
Dreamehome APP
+++ I just read this is supported in the betas
+++ Supposedly once you use this it will deactivate local API so it can only be accessed via the cloud?
or
Mi Home/ Xiaomi Home APP
+++ I am assuming this one is more local access friendly
+++ Supposedly Firmware updates are slower?
or
Can i just set everything up on HA?
Mi Home supports local API access but Dreamehome supports push messages therefore integration does not need to constantly send requests to the device for getting the updates.
I recommend using Dreamehome with the latest Beta since map feature requires cloud access anyway even with the Mi Home app.
So far the DreameBot L10s Ultra is working great on the HA App using the Mi Home/ Xiaomi Home APP to set it up but i cant find
How i can specify what room to clean
or
How order to clean rooms in
So I am assuming all that stuff is in the BETA and since you recommended the Dreamehome App i went ahead tried to install it the following way
Reset DreameBot L10s Ultra to factory defaults
Deleted Home Asistant Integration DreameApp
Deleted Mi Home/ Xiaomi Home APP
Installed Dreamehome APP
It immediately found new firmware so i upgraded it to Firmware Version 4.3.9_3031
I installed the HA Dreame Integration
You can look at the pictures for everything inserted
I got the 32 Character API Token Error
I then got the 32 Character API Token as per the instructions
And i still cant log in what did i do wrong?
Dreamehome account support is in Beta too.
Thank you for the response
My problem is
I can no longer install Dreame Vacuum App on Home Assistant because i get stuck on the 32 Character API Token Error
Even though it shows the correct IP address and the correct 32 Character API Token when i compare it to the output of
python3 token extractor.py
And when installing Dreame Vacuum on HA it will NOT let me log in using the Dreame App credentials it only lets me log into HA using the Mi Home/ Xiaomi Home APP credentials
Also at what point can i select BETA because it doesnt give me option to select Beta but maybe that happens after i log in using my credentials in HA
And when installing Dreame Vacuum on HA it will NOT let me log in using the Dreame App credentials it only lets me log into HA using the Mi Home/ Xiaomi Home APP credentials
Because you are not using the Beta
You are doing it all wrong. You cannot use a Dreamehome vacuum with API token. The token you are trying to use is related to the Mi Home app. Dreamehome account does not support local api therefore there is no token for it.
I guess my big problem is i cant figure out how to select the beta version on HA, when i first installed Dreame App on HA it asked me and i selected the normal one,
now after uninstalling the Dreame App on HA and reinstalling it i cant find the option to install BETA
Well i feel silly
I had to REDOWNLOAD it in HACS and select beta which i coudlnt figure out
I am sorry to waste your time
I made some pictures for the next silly person that makes the same mistake
Thanks again
Hello everyone,
I’ve been getting an error for a few days now, so I reloaded the integration. It has been working fine so far but my robot entity couldn’t be found anymore. When I try to log in I keep getting an error message. I am logged in to the same browser on Xiaomi and Xiamoi’s cloud site. I am using the Xiaomi ID which has worked before. Does anyone know any advice?
Thank you in advance!
This error is different than when username or password is incorrect (more like you don’t have internet connection or cannot connect to the cloud) and you should check the logs for getting more info about it.
Thanks for the fast answer! Sorry for the noob question but where can I access the logs?
@tasshack I cannot find any entries regarding dreame vacuum in the logs Internet connection is working fine, login-credentials are correct
Hi!
First of all happy holidays to everyone!
I got stuck when adding the integration. I’ve got few informations.
I can tell you that when it returns the error, the HA restarts anda when I force the submit a second time, the erros changes the error to "Invalid flow specified (see second image).
Can anyone give me some pointers about what it can be?
Thank you in advance!
You cannot run the integration on a 2GB system without enabling the Low Resolution Map
option and that option only available in Beta.
I just tried to install this integration via HACS on HA 2023.12.1.
When I click the “Add Integration…” button, after the re-direct to my local HA I get the error message in a popup:
This integration does not support configuration via the UI. If you followed this link from the Home Assistant website, make sure you run the latest version of Home Assistant.
Was there a breaking change in the latest HA release which prevents installation?
Check the logs.
