[Custom Component] Popur X5 Litter Box Integration

Hi everyone,

I own two Popur X5 Self-Cleaning Litter Boxes, but I was frustrated that there was no local Home Assistant integration. The official app is okay (but complicated) and I wanted full automation control.

So, I reverse-engineered the API and built a Custom Component!

What it does:

  • Sensors: Bin Full status, Cycle Counter.

  • Controls: Trigger Cleaning, Toggle Manual Mode (DND).

  • Smart Night Mode: I included a blueprint to automatically silence the robot at night and clean in the morning.

  • Multi-Device: Supports multiple litter boxes automatically.

You mentioned you were frustrated there was no local option, but on GitHub it says you use the cloud?

This looks pretty cool, any chance it could be updated to work with the newly released S7?

I haven’t kept my eye on the new Popur that closely, but hasn’t the company been promising HA support for the S7?

They have - and I hope that that occurs at some point. For the time being the devices don’t even work with their own built-in scales so I’m not holding my breath on something like third party (to them) connectivity.

I was mostly asking because at some point OP renamed their repo from “gingerAUT1988/home-assistant-popur-x5” to " gingerAUT1988/home-assistant-popur" which gives me hope that they’re targeting other models.
