Greetings all,
I purchased a Z-Wave smoke detector relay which hard wired into the smoke detector. This relay creates a switch entity that is either on or off based on the state of the smoke detector.
I would like to create a custom entity named “Smoke Detector” and have two states “Detected” and “Not Detected” based on the state of the switch entity mentioned above.
I’ve tried looking online and on these boards but haven’t found anything to point me in the right direction.
Any help you all can provide would be GREATLY appreciated.
