I’m currently trying to implement a somewhat unconventional Thread border router onto my home assistant network. The network is recognised by Home assistant and I can make it my preferred thread network. However, when I try to commission a Matter-over-Thread device onto the network, it fails on the ‘Checking network connectivity’ step.
The Thread border router is an nRF52840 dongle (acting as a radio co-processor) connected to an open-wrt router.
I believe the issue is that the device is on a separate interface meaning it’s IP address range is not known by the commissioner (Android phone). Fix is to tell device to route to router, android however is locked down, is there a way to route from the phone? Using commands like sudo etc.
