Customise Date in Energy Dashboard

When viewing the Energy Dashboard one can browse the date back and forward.

I would find it useful if the date itself could show the day of the week. Therefore, it would be useful if users could customise the date format to their own purpose.

Current view of the date in the energy dashboard

Request:

  1. Add a config item Offset the month to a specific day of the month

  2. Add a config item Offset the start of the 1st quarter to a specific date

  3. Failing the above can date picker be modified to allow for the above

  4. Add an offset for the utility meter so it resets on a specific day of the month rather that the 1st of the month.

  5. Add and offset for the quartly reset so the 1st qtr does not start in jan 1

Reason
My power billing is done per quarter however the 1st quarter begins in Feb 20.
This is also a problem with the meter reset cycles however i get around this using a mix of template sensors and autmations to reset the meters.

As my billing begins on the 20th of the month I am no easily able to compare the data to my bill or view it in a way that relates to my bill

energy-date-selection is a great tool when used in energy dashboard but even more when used in any other Lovelace view to play with our beautiful graphs!
Can more advanced functions be implemented as specifically setting a default date selection. by default, it appears to be one day but it should be given the possibility be set to one week, one month or now - X days.

Coming 2025.4 it will remember your most recently selected preset, and restore it when you come back. So if you want a default monthly view, just select “This month” in the date preset, and it will always load the current month when you first visit the page.
