I bought a Cync smart plug from Lowes and got it to work with HA through “Matter”. I also bought a bulb but haven’t messed with it yet.
I have tried this and can only get it working with white color. I could not get color control to work. Keep getting the error:
(MainThread) ERROR [matter_server.server.client_handler] [140159819220944] Error while handling: device_command (node 3): src/app/CommandSender.cpp:343: CHIP Error 0x00000032: Timeout
when trying to adjust color
I have added the repository but I still cannot find the Cync Lights add-in.

Did I do something wrong?
I have some older Cync lights and I think they connect to the WiFi network so I should be able to use this integration if I can only get it installed.
I tried this tonight but got the same error as several of you. I was hoping to integrate without having to reset all my lights and add them via Matter. It doesn’t look like the repository is managed/updated anymore.
Did you restart HA after install? I also didn’t close the browser as the redme stated to do. Once I followed everything in the readme it all showed up and I was able to add this.
Maybe I don’t understand the instructions.
By “Navigate to HACS” does that mean go to the add-on store? That is where I find I can add a custom repository. I added the url, it’s still in there. “Category: Integrations” does not seem to have any application there.
I have restarted HA, closed and reopened the browser, rebooted HA, rebooted the local PC…
Cync still cannot be found under Home Assistant Community Add-ons, or any other section of the add-on store.
I figured the project is abandoned and unavailable.
HACS and the addon store are not the same thing, no. HACS is a way to install custom integrations. It has to be installed separately, then you’ll be able to find the cync integration within HACS. It’s been awhile since I installed HACS and I can’t say I remember how to do it, but if you google “homeassistant install HACS” I’m sure you can get to instructions.
