I had Daikin Duct System FDYQ160KAV1+BRC1E61. Thinking of upgrade to smart panel that will work with Daikin Airbase app. Checked on my HA. I am confused that if airbase can be integrated into HA? What info I should ask A/C installer who will do the upgrade?
You need to know which Wifi adaptor will be installed. Compatible units are listed here: Daikin AC - Home Assistant

thanks for your help
In addition to the BRP15B61, also add the Daikin Zone Controller rather than the basic controller - like the BRC24Z4B or BRC24Z8B. Without the zone controller, the airbase won’t be able to open and close zones.
I have the airbase and the controller, and although it’s a dumb wifi controller in itself, I have made it smarter with an AppDaemon app to automatically open/close zones based on localised temperatures and conditions (i.e. windows open, close zone)
There’s faikin for local control, and some mention about x35a port for power with x50a
Or maybe x33a is just the same port for x50a?
Daikin tends to do that, using different name for the same port
Thanks for your contribution. I got one supplier called me talking about this. He will try quote me basic wifi module, wifi module and replace existing controller (fix problem) or new controller that can change zone as well. I didn’t have new controller in mind as I didn’t see much benefit. While your comment made me re-thinking again now.
