Hello all,
First time poster, pls excuse if any issues with my post. I am trying to achieve simple climate control for one of the rooms at my home
I am using Home Assistant 2023.4.2 with Daikin Airbase integration to control my AC unit. I have BRP15B61 controller. Currently the thermostat is set to the controller one and it works as expected. I have also setup a Aqara thermostat in one of the rooms and would like to control the room temperature based on readings from the Aqara thermostat
I tried various thermostats in HA - generic thermostat, PID based thermostat, smart thermostat…
Questions:
- Anyone had done similar projects with similar controllers and how smooth is your temp control ?
- Most of the times, I do see the heater does not turn off ones the thermostat readings reach the “target temperature”. I can also observe that the Daikin Airbase mobile app is not able to connect during this period and maybe HA is not able to turn off the AC due to this connection issue. I see following logs
2023-04-11 09:16:24.186 WARNING (MainThread) [homeassistant.components.sensor] Updating daikin sensor took longer than the scheduled update interval 0:00:30
2023-04-11 09:16:33.864 WARNING (MainThread) [homeassistant.components.daikin] Connection failed for 192.168.X.X
I wonder if the HA is doing continuous polling and the Daikin controller is blacklisting or something, after sometime the connection is restored. Daikin controller firmware 1.1.8
Thank You
