Good day,
I live in Melbourne, Australia and I’m getting some quotes to replace a gas ducted heater with a reverse cycle ducted system.
The two models I’m considering are:
Daikin FDYA160AV19 16.0 kW Premium Inverter OR
Daikin FDYUA160A9 15.5kW Premium Underfloor Inverter
Now when it comes to zoning, there are lots of 3rd party options along with Daikin’s own AirHub solution.
They are all quite pricey and hence I am looking to use the home assistant Daikin integration.
The controller I’m considering is the Daikin Zone Controller BRC24Z8B and I believe I will need the Daikin Airbase BRP15B61 WiFi LAN Adapter.
The zone controller supports zones and fan control (Hi/Med/Low) for each zone.
Questions:
- Is anyone else using the above setup and have it working well?
- If I was to set this up, will I be able to use the Xiaomi temperature sensors I have in each room to do something like:
a. In heat mode, if Bedroom 1 room temperature vs desired temperature is greater than 5 degrees then set fan speed for that zone to high.
b. In heat mode, if Bedroom 1 room temperature vs desired temperature is between 3 to 5 degrees then set fan speed for that zone to medium.
c. In heat mode, if Bedroom 1 room temperature vs desired temperature is between 1 to 3 degrees then set fan speed for that zone to low. - Anyone done something like this above or have any suggestions/recommendations.
P.S. I am a simple guy with limited programming skills and do not want to build a complex system that is very onerous to operate/troubleshoot.
