Want to get the Danfoss LC-13 thermostat but have several questions. I have a pay per heat energy used installed so would like to see how much is spent.
As i understand it doesn’t report the current temperature. But does it report valve state in any way?
Or the only attributes are the set point?
I have 3 and can’t recommend them, because the only thing you can send is the set temperature. You have no other information instead of the battery state.
I would recommend spending a little bit more and get ones who report the temperature.
Well i don’t really need the temperature as have xiaomi and mysensors around reporting it and humidity as well. Also having a temperature sensor in a close proximity of radiator will always give a 1-2C deviation. So only need ones which report the state “open” “closed” or even better open 30% e.t.c
Any suggestions for this ones?
I don’t think that you can find a thermostat who reports this. You could look for the new Fibaro but it isn’t available yet. Maybe they have something like this.
Apparently, Popp and Devolo should be rebranded Danfoss with bi-directional capabilities. I havent’t used any of them, nor have I looked that much into it, but I hope it can be used as a starting point for further search.
Such a pitty it does not report the valve back:( of coursr,my own fault for not checking it ypfront. I still hope it’s just sw change and maybe Danfoss enables it one day:)
wow, look what Danafoss responded to my ask - if we can hope for fw update:
Unfortunately, LC-13 does not support firmware updates. It is correct that the standard version does not report these datapoints. There are a number of OEM variants on the market of LC-13 that support different data points. If you wish the product to report Full Open/Full Close, then I recommend obtaining the following OEM version: https://www.geniushub.co.uk/products/
not for LC13, but apparently there are other options based on same hw.
