Dashboard - several questions

Hello,

Here are my dashboards :

My dashboard as administrator is the Mushroom dashboard (admin only).
Each time I log-on (after a log-off) the Overview dashboard is shown and I need to modify my profile to select the Mushroom dashboard as “default for this device”. Can I somewhere indicate once and for all that the Mushroom dashboard should be taken ? For me, that Overview dashboard may even been deleted…

Next : per dashboard can be indicated “admin only”, except this Overview dashboard…why ? Now, when a family member logs in, they will also see that overview dashboard. Can I avoid this ?

And same question for the Energy-dashboard, I don’t want my family members see that dashboard.

When a family member logs in, it gets this :

I know, this user can go to his profile to “Change the order and hide items from the sidebar”. But I would like to do this for him/she by default.

And last : can I block the access of a user to his profile (I can hide the sidebar, but the user can still access it via the menu bar) ? I can set his “view” on the phone of the user, but if he/she can change it after that…this doesn’t make sense.

Thanks for any tips!

Good question, not sure if anyone has an answer but I would like to hide those two also. Did a search of the forum and have not found the answer yet.

One idea someone had was emptying the overview dashboard and only putting in it what you want others to see.

Then create an admin only dashboard for everything you want to restrict access to

Still will not hide the energy dashboard though

Go into Settings

Then Dashboards

Select another dashboard as default

This will hide it

Still need to figure out the Energy one

Meanwhile I did it that way :

  • everybody has the “Overview” dashboard as default
  • on the overview dashboard I use the state-switch in combination with a navigate button

User push on the button and depending of the user it navigates to another dashboard/view, where I use kiosk mode to remove the menu.

Works fine, except that clever users push on the 3 stripes when the overview dashboard is still loading…
