Dashboard: Sonos card

Use the dynamic volume slider setting. Check the readme.
No eta on the other feature I’m afraid

Thanks, that was easy to solve :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Ok and thanks for the ETA. I hope you will find some time to implement this. Then I actually start using the Sonos Card completely.

Nobody willing to give some ideas?

No idea I am afraid, not heard anyone else having this issue and have not seen it myself :frowning:

If I remove the addon and then re-install, might that get rid of these entries?

Great card! Much better than the default one.

However, one thing still is nog working for me and I’ve spent over an hour troubleshooting…
My favourite radio stations are not showing, only my 1 favorite playlist I added as a test (via Spotify Service in the Sonos app). See 2 screenshots below.

I’ve restarted the Sonos app, restarted HA, emptied my browser cache (and the media_source is in my config yaml file). Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

Does it work in the built in media browser in Home Assistant?

I just checked the HA Media Browser and there I see the same;
Within ‘Sonos Favourites’ there is 1 sub directory called ‘Playlists’ which contains the 1 playlist from my screenshot above.

Thanks for your quick reply Phil.

I’m afraid there’s not much I can do then

New release out, v6.6. This supports more advanced grouping, making it possible to play a specified favorite when grouping, and setting the volume of every player in the group. Example:

predefinedGroups: # defaults to empty
  - name: Inside
    entities:
      - media_player.matrum
      - media_player.hall
  - name: Kök&Hall
media: Legendary # If you want to start playing a specific favorite when grouping
entities: # Use below format if you want to set the volume of the speakers when grouping
      - player: media_player.kok
        volume: 10
      - player: media_player.hall
        volume: 5

I tried this, it works nicely, but where can I find the list that works? Also, would it be possible to turn on the TV mode through this, so if you have the Sonos Beam and other speakers in that group, this automation sets the TV mode with the right volume?

It’s your favourites in Sonos.
TV is a special case in Sonos, and I actually think it will work by configuring media:TV

I tried this, but I’m getting this error message :

I can't call the service media_player/select_source. Error calling SonosMediaPlayerEntity.select_source on media_player.sonos_ra: UPnP Error 402 received: Invalid Args from [192.168.0.110](http://192.168.0.110/?fbclid=IwAR2qunLtHSKVmd0lrS-mbh3Pyvlx3F9lcdH448_PBnis32UG683ucn8cVuU).

so it doesn’t work this way. Also, when I have my Sonos Beam and Sonos Roam set to TV mode, they can’t switch to the group with their own music together. Only the Sonos Roam goes to its own group, and the Sonos Beam continues playing TV sound. How can I fix this?

No idea I’m afraid

Hey, the issue with the TV mode is fixed, so it works with media: TV, and the problem of switching from TV mode to a playlist also works now. However, I have another issue. I created a Sonos playlist, and it appears in the Sonos app’s playlist section but not in Home Assistant’s favorites. How can I fix this?

How did you get that image for your Sonos? It looks nice!icons sonos

You guessed it: Add it to favorites

See instructions further up

I don’t see this option, which is strange. But now I’ve created a playlist in SoundCloud itself, and that one does appear in Home Assistant.

I don’t see these instructions. Where should I see them?
