When I try to access the Node-RED ‘dashboard’ from the icon on the editor screen I get error 404 because NR is trying to use the following URL; http://192.168.1.98:8123/endpoint/ui. The port 8123 is wrong, it should be 1880. So, if I manually change 8123 to 1880 the dashboard works perfectly.
Does anybody know how / where to change this URL in the Node-Red set up. I have looked in various config’s and the Node-REd add in config but I can’t find anywhere to change the dashboard URL.
Hi @bobcroft , di you manage to resolve this issue?
I’m just now realising I have the same issue. I don’t access the node red dashboard that often from within the node red instance I have running inside my Home Assistant server, so I’m not sure when this issue arose. I presume it occurred as a breaking change with the version of Home Assistant that switched the add-on’s code and data files out of the config
folder, now renamed as the homeassistant
folder.
Hi, sorry I didn’t ever get to the bottom of the issue. The problem is the Node-RED group aren’t interested because the issue occurs under HA, the Home Assistant group aren’t interested because it is perceived as a node-RED issue! Basically I don’t think anybody knows the amswer. However, what I did was to install the Node-RED companion from HACS and that works perfectly.
