Data Disk Move, system reports disk no disk available

I have a Pi4, With an Attached external 3.5" SATA disk dock. I live 2500kms away from my home (return about twice a year). So my wife does all my ‘hands’ work at home.

In the System hardware devices, I see the BRAND NEW 2TB Seagate IronWolf Disk as /dev/sda
I tried to use gparted and parted to partition this disk but these tools don’t exist in the HAOS system.

I have watch several YouTube videos on moving the system disk (in my case a small 16Gb SDcard). None that I’ve seen ever mention if the new disk needs a partition layout or not. I suspect HAOS does.

Anyhow when I try to do the “Move datadisk” operation the system reports -
“No suitable storage found” Message.

Help, what am I doing wrong ?

Stephen.

Well, did not make any changes (other than wait a few hours).
Tried to move data disk again, and this time the system allowed me.

The system had fully booted, but maybe there were still tasks in progress ??
