I tried a lot of things, but it just don’t find what I want…
On monday and friday I work from home. Now that it’s getting colder, I want the Nest Thermostat to switch on at 8AM to heat the house till 21°C.
Problem : sometimes they cancel my “work from home”-day and I need to be in the office. So on those days I don’t need to warm up the house.
I know I can create an automatisation with a time condition, but I can’t find a day condition (monday and friday). Where can I find this?
For the second problem (when I need to work in the office), I suppose I can create a switch to set the automatisation on or off?
I would ignore the whole monday and friday condition and rather base it on presence (are you home or not). That would also make the need for a switch to turn on and off the automation redundant.
But to answer your question you find the days in the GUI or you can do it by YAML.
Another option could be to use the calendar integration and use certain appointments to trigger an automation.
I’m doing it that way to set the alarm since my daily schedule is not the same/irregular every week.
