Deadbolt sensor

Hi, so I decided to make a deadbolt sensor as a door sensor is quite useless because I live in a flat. I just want to know if the door is locked or not. I bough an " Aqara Door and Window Sensor" drilled some holes into it and connected the wires, there are lots of projects in this forum how to do it.

My first try was using a reed switch. But it wasn’t working very vell, it could trigger: on off multiple times and then show the incorect value.

So I began to search for a button with a long travel distance. Found this:
Micro switch

Now it’s working perfectly, no more wrong triggers, but I am not sure how long this switch will survive as most of the time the switch is pressed down and only for short period of times when I open the door it’s released.

The switch is connected to the aqara with arduinio connectors, should I use better connectors? I can’t solder them because I use 2 holes on the door frame with different sizes.

Do you have access to the other end of the bolt? If so, you could put the switch on that side, but I’m guessing it will be more work, since you’ll need to be in the door and not the frame.

I don’t think it’s possible, I have the EU type, sashlock.

It looks very clean at the moment because I had all the holes required in the door frame.
