Yeah I did this and I improved a lot reliability. But The best was to move my router wifi to channel 11 and conbee to 15 to separate them in spectrum, since then I had not problem with connection. I have hue, xiaomi stuff mostly.
Hi all,
I saw there is an option “Area” under deConz integration, as per screenshot below:
However, how could we set to add more area on this? Now only have No Area this option.
Thanks.
Configuration -> area registry
I’ve few old and deleted entries from deconz in home assistant. I deleted it in Phoscon but the ghosts are still existing in home assistant. How can I delete the old groups and/or lights? I think the old entries are left after I loaded my deconz backup. I restarted my Rpi few times but no changes. I think I have to access the database from deconz in the docker container but I don’t know how to do that. I have the ssh addon installed und running.
EDIT:
Ok I deleted it via the REST_API (followed the tutorial here and here -> DELETE Sensor)
I have a small issue with Phoscon backups.
Most of the entities keep their name on restore but there are a few that default to “Light24”, “Group3” for example. It’s always the same entities, and they vary from IKEA and AQARA
Any ideas ?
Thanks for the guidance!
Hello.
Is there a recommended way of migrating from marthoc to the official add on?
Backup and restore using phoscon
This works well. Can I give this sensor template an area id? I want to group it with my other Deconz bulbs and sensor values in the Overview page.
Areas requires devices that requires unique id on entity
Thanks - assume I can do this by installing the other add on and just stopping the marthoc one? And then if it works - great - but otherwise I can easily revert to marthoc?
EDIT - also I assume this is the “Gateway Backup”, “Save Configuration” under the old form of the phoscon software?
I haven’t done it myself, but probably. And yeah the data for the container should be preserved
Thanks - gave it a go but it doesn’t seem easy.
My old container is configured in YAML but I don’t seen able to do that for the new official add on. The port used is different but I can’t see where to set the port under the UI configurator.
So I’ll leave it for now and stick with the old add on.
I did it the other way round, moved from official to the marthoc add-on. Simply backed up phoscon, installed the add-on, turned the official add on off and made sure it worked before uninstalling the official one. All worked fine apart from a bit of renaming entities. Port is different so had to edit the iframe address
I can’t see how to configure the API/port for the official add on in the UI. For Marthoc you can do that in the YAML settings.
I don’t really like it being so obscured, so for the time being I’ll stick with Marthoc. I kind of assumed there would be advantages of switching to the official add in, but I can’t really see many.
Only advantage I could see of the official one is it’s a later version of deCONZ. Disadvantage is there’s no vnc access in the official add-on
Don’t think so
Which, IMHO is a huge disadvantage. Being able to see the mesh, and see each devices individual attributes is a great diagnostic tool.
I wish that would get implemented in the official addon, it doesn’t seem like it would be a huge hurdle if it’s based on their official image.
Do a request for it
