deConz on Hass.io installation: all on one Raspberry

This might be a stupid question but what precisely is the HA DeConz-addon? Just an interface to the deConZ Software or the interface plus software?
The reason for that question is a change in my installation: I have a Raspberry 3 with the Raspbee II card installed. On that Pi I was using HA Core installation and could do all the deConz SW config as shown on their homepage.
Now I am using hass.io or Hass OS…(still confused with the naming) and of course I cannot do any “apt-get” or even “make” installations…

The addon I get from the AppStore is the complete package? But for example how should I know which /dev/ttyXXX is actually used when I have not done the deConZ installation by myself?

Yes, the addon is the complete package.

To find the device go to Supervisor > System and then look for the 3 dots in the corner of the ‘Host System’ card and select ‘Hardware’
