deConz short GUI / Frontend overview

Just for those, who didn’t see the deConz frontend until now i did some screenshots.
As i was using only tradfri gateway so far, i will do a little comparison in features.

For the beginning you start over with creating groups, just similar to tradfri.

You are able to create several groups and assign devices.
Here you are able to assign one device to multiple groups, which is not allowd in tradfri!

In the settings you are able to create scenes (i ddn’t use this for me, but it seems like it’s like a simple automation thing), assign lights and sensors (also virtual sensors, like sunrise, thich tradfri is also not supporting), control devices by time and secially create rules for sensors.

These rules are more detailed than the tradfri. Tradfri gives you only the possibility to control lights by movement for example. Light-Duration and darkness-recognition is only managed by the sensor itself and it only goes on and off. Meanwhile deConz gives you at least full control over time and possibility to fade.

Last one shows the “backend”, where you can see your connected devices, add new (also virtual, as mentioned) and see all device data.
Here i saw no possibility to do firmware updates, but others told me, it IS possible. I can’t confirm this, but i’m not that deep into it.
Here you also can see the deConz version and do backups of your config.
