Anyone know how I ended up with two integrations for the same devices with one having all entities and one having only a few? And if so, how do I fix that? I’m reluctant to delete both integrations unless I can be sure the entities will come back.
I think you should take the path into deConz and see what happens there. (It seems to be a deConz issue and not a Home Assistant issue)
Thanks. If I access deCONZ, it only shows one of each of my lights, switches and sensors as always. I don’t know when the double integration problem happened and everything still seems to be working OK. I suppose I could do a full back and remove both integrations and see what happens?
Oh! I think I misinterpreted your case. You have two ZigBee “gateways”!
I don’t use deConz integration anymore. But if IRCC, removing the integration doesn’t unpair your devices with the gateway. It just removes the HA <-> deConz connection.
I would probably kill both of them and start a new integration. But don’t take my word for it, I haven’t touched it in a long time.
I took the plunge and deleted both deCONZ integrations (after taking a full backup) and while it re-added OK as a single integration now, most of my 84 entities had custom entity ID’s which have all defaulted so now a whole bunch of automations have broken. Coupled with that, some of the old entity ID’s can’t be removed (the normal way) so renaming the new entity to the old entity to get things working is not possible. Looks like I’ve got my evening cut out now!
Oh dear… I’m sorry to hear that.
I hope you have a good naming scheme. You don’t have a backup do you?
Yep, have multiple backups in the cloud so all good. Only took me about 2hrs to rename all the entities back. Thought about modifying my code and leaving the default ID’s but when I started that route it got very messy very fast so went the easier route.
Same here. Did use original ID’s a long time ago. But so many integrations rely upon understanding what the ID represents that friendly names are a necessity.
