deCONZ vs ZHA vs zigbee2mqtt

That sounds good, i have just ordered a Sonoff Zigbee bridge to give it a try since i am running RaspBee with deConz at the moment. Will se how that goes.

Hopefully you have the same experience

Will see, i will definitely move few devices slow and see how it works. I had problems for instance with IKEa round remote that most of the time when i clicked it i had to click again and again and eventually it would react, not a good experience and a not so impressed wife :frowning:

Sounds much like the fun my lad was having with a Xiaomi one, can now perform single, double, triple, quadruple and quintuple clicks spot on everytime, not that I’d do that in actual use as I’d never remember what they all did!

I use deCONZ as well for around 3 years now, but never experienced the issues you ssem to have. I also have a fairly large zigbee mesh with 60+ devices from Xiaomi (door/window, temp/humidity, lux, buttons), Philips (Bulbs, remotes) and Ikea (different buttons).

You don’t mention IKEA bulbs, i expect the problem to be with those. I have around 45 ikea bulbs which are known to issues for example they hang and require power cycle which is hard for me since i have fixed phase for them so i have to remove GU10 to power cycle and that is a real hassle. The buttons issues i was having in the beginning i just stopped using the ikea remotes.

Yeah you’re right, I don’t like the IKEA bulbs (except for the low price). I only use Philips bulbs.

Innr work great and support reporting

The ZHA integration supports Zigbee groups. I have multiple bulbs in some of my light fixtures and have them grouped via ZHA so they show up as a single entity in HA. Of course the entities for the individual bulbs are still there if I want to use them, too. Groups work great… all the bulbs turn on/off at the same time, and color/temp changes work as well.

Yes you are right. I see now that they have added that with 106, awesome!

Unfortunately ZHA does not support some devices I now own and use with deCONZ (like aqara curtain motors) which z2m does seem to support.

It’s nice to see they now all have the group options

I don’t know about ZHA, but Zigbee2mqtt definitely supports groups.

Oh btw, so you can confirm that ConBee II works with zigbee2mqtt? I ask because bladadder states it only works with ZHA and deCONZ: https://zigbee.blakadder.com/dresden_elektronik_ConBee_II.html

I have decided to switch my CC2531 for a ZbBridge. Does anyone know if I can flash it with one of these?

Yes. It is considered to be in beta stage but it works perfectly fine for me.

Using Xiaomi sensors , Ikea bulbs , Innr (bulbs and strips) and Blitzwolf/Tuya plugs.

DId you make Develco SMSZB-120 work trough ZHA integration?

I am using DeCONZ

Does anyone have issue that the light card doesn’t update light brightness when zigbee bulb is turned on/off?

Probably this is caused by the latest zigbee2mqtt container image 1.15.0, version 1.14.4 works fine. Anyone know if there is workaround? I am using conbee ii with zigbee2mqtt, this happens to both sylvania and sengled bulbs.

btw: is there a dedicated place for zigbee2mqtt discussion?

correction: I reverted to zigbee2mqtt container image 1.14.4 and also have same issue. not sure what’s changing. worked previously.
