We’ve recently got the /addon_configs folder which is nice. What I would like to see is a similar folder dedicated for add-on backups, such as /addon_backups that can be mapped to the add-ons. Now, I’ve made a few add-ons myself, and I use a far few other add-ons as well. My issue is that making traditional backups of addons usually adds up from 50-1000 MB pr add-on, so the backup file becomes quite large. Most add-ons have a feature where they make their own backups which a quite samll, typically around 1 MB. I want to store those in a dedicated folder I can backup.
My solution now is to make a /media/addon_backups/addon_slug folder where I store these backups, and then backup the media folder instead of the add-ons themself. That works the same, but it prevents me from storing other large files I don’t want to backup in the /media folder.
