I’ve been playing with all of this stuff for 5+ years now. And I am stupified that I can’t go to the web programmer, and say go. Then have it automatically provision the device along with of the on-board things that it was manufactured with. I mean, if 10,000 Lilygo T-Display’s were made… wouldnt it behoove someone to create some standard config that has the LCD, the ACD, and everything else that a person could want to use on that platform. The ask goes as far as things like the dev-kits
I have like5 different dev-kits and it is a huge pain in the everything to try to map out all the components one by one, trying to avoid non-existent TFT RST lines… and it just makes me wonder why I even try anymore. I can make things from wood, concrete, and the rules don’t change. Why is it so damn hard to create a standard config for a board that was sold on Aliexpress 10 years ago, that we all have 20+ of…
And now again and in a style, people can understand, please…
It’s difficult to understand what you are complaining about but maybe you are talking about ESPHome?
In that case, this is already available:
I’ve been using HA and esphome for years…
Why is the first I am seeing of this repository
I was going to say “same here” - but then I realised that there is at least one contribution that I added.
When I added this Brilliant Smart WiFi Powerboard 20691/05 | devices.esphome.io the site was called something else, had a different domain and looked quite different. Good to see it still there and it should be treasured.
EDIT: It was originally esp-configs.io but I suspect someone forgot to renew the domain and it then emerged at esp-devices.com. That latter site now re-directs to devices.esphome.io
