Default time frame shown in History popup

Team,
When I click an entity it always shows a 24-hr chart.
That is fine except that in my GUI, when clicking a temperature entity, it really makes sense to only show the last 3 hours.

Q: Is there a way to “on-click” show a (for example) 3 hour chart?

I have found this (older) thread where the following is said:

If you want a different time period use a history graph card. Or the custom mini graph card; You can then use card-mod to replace the default pop up with your graph card.

Any idea how that works?
Ideally I would like the default popup to provide a restricted history view instead of stacking hacks :slight_smile:

I, too, would welcome an option to set a custom default time range for this popup very useful. Perhaps even on a per-entity basis.

It should be both. A default that can be configured and a configurable override on the entity row editor. For a first solution I would even be happy to get to know the place where the current value is stored so I can change it.
