Defender Guard Pro 2K WiFi - Home assitant - Anyone :)

Just bought one of these just to play with since it came down to 57$ Canadian for the pro version:

Amazon Link

Anyone got this intergrated with HA? The description (or lack of) on any site doesnt mention RTSP. They seem to be giving out 50% off codes every few days plus a 7$ coupon on amazon so it was too cheap for me to ignore.

Thanks

If it helps anyone these devices do have rtsp:

rtsp://username:password@IPADDRESS/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0

You have to change the password from the app before being able to use it…
Username:admin
Password:securitycode stuck to the camera (it will force your to reset it)

This camera seems to be a dahua cam under the skin although the web interface is disabled (trying to see if there is a way to enable it).

It also seems that all the dahua apps (windows and android) and all the amcrest apps work with it.

It also has two feeds… first being the 2k one using 256 codec and the 2nd being the lower quality using 254. The real app doesnt let you change them but the dahua apps lets you change all the settings.

Since it has rtsp it will work in HA .

Thanks for this, as I couldn’t find out if it had RTSP either. I found the cam based on a YouTube review–I was searching for color night vision cameras with wide FOV. How’s it holding up for you?

Update: got it today and I’m very impressed with the quality but I’m still playing with it.

Here is all the info i gathered on these cameras

Defender Guard Pro Ultra HD 2K

Main Stream: rtsp://admin:YOUR PASSWORD@YOUR IP/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0
Sub Stream: rtsp://admin:YOUR PASSWORD@YOUR IP/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=1

Opened Ports:
HTTP: 80 (used for onvif from what i gathered)
RTSP: 554
? : 8086
LAN Live: 37777 (accessed through app)

ONVIF Login Info:
User Name: admin
Password: (either password you set while setting up camera or the security code on the cameras sticker)
Port: 80

Its ok for the price i paid (57$ canadian) but i find that the motion detection sucks, it goes off constantly for rain or insects - its basically recording 24/7 (which i dont mind i guess). Image quality is pretty good, big step up from the ring battery cam i had before. RTSP stream is always there and doesnt die like wyze’s all the time. So pretty good for the price.

have you got the main stream to play properly. for me its doesnt work will load initial image then freeze and glitch out. sub stream works fine. using ONVIF addon atm to play/stream them

Hi, the main stream works fine for me on both cameras.

Just curious how you guys were able to add the camera? Did you use ‘Generic Camera’ or one of the other selections? I can access the defender with the app, but HA is not seeing it at all.
