Desactivate HAOS 8.x slot selection

Hello

I was wondering if it is possible to desactivate those new slot selection introduce with HAOS 8 ?
Sometimes after a reboot of my VM, it load the other slot and gives me HAOS 7.6 instead of 8.1.
