I have a refrigerator in my garage. It’s plugged into a GFCI outlet. A couple of times a year it will trip the GFCI (whatever trips it might not necessarily be the fridge, but something trips it). Anyway, I’d like to get notified when the outlet is off. I have a temp sensor in the fridge, but that takes too long before the temperature rises enough to alert me. So, can someone think of a good way to let me know when the power has failed? I’m thinking about plugging in something into one of the other outlets and when it loses pawer, somehow it can let me know. Thoughts?
That, basically. Any plugged connected device (bulb, plug, …) will end up “unavailable” after some time when power is lost.
I don’t really see the relation between your question on the topic title
Oh wow, that was the subject from my LAST post several days ago. I think the browser autofill must have remembered that from last time??? I thought I typed in a new title, but now I don’t remember. Anyway, I will give your idea a try. I have a zigbee outlet I could stick in it.
I’ll see if I can edit the topic title
