Detect variation of humidity sensor

Hi !

I’m using trend to detect variation of my humidity sensor (to power on my vent in my bathroom) but i’m encountering a problem, my aqara sensors doesn’t update regularly.
For exemple:
I took my shower at 00h27. Before my shower i have 78%, and after my shower i have 94%, i’m pretty sure that the humidity was at 94% after 1/2min the begin of the shower (blue line)
But my aqara sensor update the value 10 min after.

Do you have any tips to update the value more often ? (without press the button of the sensor)
I know it’s for preserve the battery, but i don’t care if i have to change the battery twice a year instead of once every 2 years ^^

No, you can’t change the interval. However, I don’t see this behaviour with my Aqara sensors, they report immediately if there is an increase of x% (don’t know how much, maybe 5%). When I take a shower it reports almost immediatrly a massive increase.

Anyway, having a humidity above 75% without taking a shower is way too much, this will lead to moldy conditions pretty quickly.

Hi @Burningstone,

Ok, it’s strange, mine is really slow…
I’ll try to switch it with an other.

Yes i have mold, i don’t know how can i remove it.
The ventilation is active 24h/24h on speed 1 and i want to use Home Assistant to activate speed 2 when we take shower.

This is humidity:

First, depending on the severity of the mold, either get an expert to remove the mold (severe mold) or get an anti-mold spray and treat it yourself.
Second, if you are living for rent, call your landlord and let him fix this, this is not a condition to live in when your fan is running 24 hours a day and you still have a humidity averaging above 70%, this is clearly a construction fault.
