I got full access via developer mode and followed one of the great tutorials on youtube. That all worked fine, but I want to use it as a alarm panel in the entrance area and would like to use the speakers to signalize the countdown after arming or before the alarm starts with a simple beep sound every few seconds.
My problem is: The NSPanel is not recognized in HA as a Mediaplayer. Does someone know, how I can fix that?
hmm, seems like this is not the most common problem :-). I read about that some are using their android tablets for this, so I thought it should be possible…
I found some posts that HA recognized the NSPanel Pro as Mediaplayer when HA Companion is installed, which is the case at my device. But HA has not discovered it yet.
You have to install the Browser mode in HA and register the browser in the NS panel. Look on YouTube there are videos on how to do it. I struggled with it yesterday and the media player entity is already accessible. Sorry for my English
I have the NS panel converted to HA. But that doesn’t matter. After installing browser mode, open HA in a browser, for example, and you have to register the browser to browser mode. Then restart the device, then a yellow finger icon will appear in the lower right corner, click you click and the player will be available. NS panel pro must always be online, otherwise the player entity is unavailable. This will happen even after restarting the ns panel, you need to unclick your finger in the right corner again.
this works on any device, on any browser. You open your HA, go to browser mode on the sidebar, register the browser, delete the cache F5 or restart the browser, the yellow finger icon in the right corner and it’s ready to go.
and this “automatically end connection” must be turned off, otherwise after 5 minutes the player will be unavailable again and you will have to click on the yellow finger again.
