I wasn’t sure which category I should be using. Anyway I installed homeassistant about a year ago. I finally got around to doing an upgrade. After the upgrade when clicking on one of the developer tools, I just get an empty page. This happens with all the tools. The menu is there but not working. Nothing showing up in the log.
This is a desktop machine, specifically Fedora 31.
Well, I’m not actually sure advanced mode has anything to do with the dev tools, I disabled it and can still see it. (Looks like it only affects the customization menu.)
So I investigated further. There are actual links associated with the buttons. So if I right click on “info” and select “open in new tab” it does exactly that. By the way it appears I am indeed updated. --Home Assistant 0.101.3.
The other buttons in the sidebar are fine. I have run into an unrlated problem. Chrome is not saving the password to the community site. I didn’t write it down. I had to create a new login. Off topic however.
Update
When i am on the new tab I can access all the tools. I get the sidebar as well and can access everything there. The only thing that doesn’t work from this tab, I can’t dismiss the sidebar like on the main page.
update 2
HA suggested I add system_health to my configuration. Upon investigation it said it should be there unless I had removed default_conig. I don’t think it was ever there. I added both and restarted. The developer tools are now available without opening a new tab. The sidebar layout has changed a bit. Most noticably a big white space between the main buttons and the developer tools.
