It isn’t that simple. There are some apps that help with this. I recommend GPS Logger.
If you wait a bit longer there will be support for native Google location.
Nice bit of functionality - are you going to update the repo with the link to the history API?

I don’t understand. The history API is limited to a short period. Would you need something like this?
