Hi! i’m new in Home Assistant and I’m struggling with my wall switch configuration. I have an wifi smart switch manage using Smart Life App.

  • platform: wake_on_lan
    friendly_name: “Guest Room Switch”
    mac_address: “BA:7E:11:17:91:D6”
    I can see the device in my home page but with the name “Wake On Lan”. The other thing is, I can’t turn it on from Home AsSistant page. What else do I have to do? Thanks

WOL is not to be used for switches. What model switch are you using and did you check compatibility under HASS component section?

It seems to be generic, but the manual indicate download Smart Life App and this app works fine but I want to integrate cameras and other devices and Home Assistant looks ideal for my project.
