Devices not showing as options in Blueprints

1st time trying a blueprint, have done several automations myself though but wanted to dig in further to Home Assistant now I have my feet wet. I have 7 lights I can control along with 4 motion sensors and about 10 blink cameras that show up as motion sensors.

Tried one blueprint for motion activated light, picked one motion sensor I have (NOT a blink device) and only 2 options show for lights. What is going on and how can I fix that ?

The two most likely causes are:

  1. The “lights” you want to target aren’t in the domain light, but are classified as switches.
    If this is the case, you can use a Helper to solve the issue.
  2. The light entity you want to target isn’t part of a device. Check for it by clicking on the Entities button, not the Device button.
