Hi All,
Bit of an odd one here. I logged into my HA server today to see an update notification on the Devolo network. Being a bit impulsive I just clicked the install button without thinking about it, then started looking for details after.
The update was concerning, in that it seemed to be bricked after it finished (solid red light), but after resetting the device it has come alive and I was able to re-add it to the PLC network.
I can log into it and find that it has a snazzy new interface… well I say snazzy, it’s black, otherwise it seems the same:
Sadly, it doesnt appear to connect to the other devices and pull my settings through from the devices still on 5.8.5, or at least I havent been able to get it to do that yet, whereas previously “config sync” just… worked.
Home assistant is also having issues connecting to it now.
It’s just this one device that seems to have had the update pushed, and the other ones cant find the update using the built in tool, Home assistant, devolo cockpit, or even available manually on the website.
They are all the same model number (MT:2675), so really not sure how or why this happened. I will contact Devolo support and keep everyone updated, but figured I would drop a post on for anyone who sees this notification and has the sense to check before hitting “install”.
As the device is not bricked, I think I should be able to roll back.
(I did have a bunch of images but it seems I am only allowed one)
