Deye Inverters: lack of spare RS-485 ports

this might be of help to Someone trying to find Deye information (also clone brands).

This article discusses in good depth the difference in Read-only data from the ´standard´ Deye Data Logger (in various iterations), to full control from the RS485 port, that allows read/write, or configuration on the fly, as is needed for instance for the Wholesale energy market (such as Amber in Australia).
My problem up to now is that one RS485 socket was taken up by the Deye battery which uses RS485 + Can-bus. The other port is the one used for control, but that is also used by the CHINT Energy meter (if required). The above article suggests to use an RS485 hub to allow multiple devices to hook to the single available RS485 port. Have hub on order…
